Denita D. Day M.Ed, LPC, LCDC, C.A.R.T.

I am an educator with experience helping teens and adolescents navigate the trials of everyday life that interfere with academic success since 1997. I've helped with the unification of families to aid in the success of their children. In addition, I've helped young adults transition from childhood to adulthood and helped navigate various transitional stages of life. Finally, I've helped couples increase communication to strengthen their bond.

I am a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, TX where I obtained an M.Ed in School Counseling in 2013 and furthered my education to become LPC. Upon completion, I continued my development by studying to become a LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor)  and C.A.R.T. (Certified Anger Resolution Therapist). I began my career in private practice prior to becoming a school counselor. Once the opportunity presented itself, I began to do both. Currently, I am a School Mental Health Counselor by day and a successful Therapist in private practice by night

I am a Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavior Therapist who believes you can achieve your goals with support NOT FIXING. I will remind of your past success to prevent you from focusing on failures. I will show you the relationship between your thoughts, feeling and behaviors and how modifying thoughts result in a better you! All of these techniques are applied to everyone from 5-85.
